Festa Brew Seasonal Release

Festa Brew is now preparing to release their next seasonal beer wort in their Brewmaster’s Reserve Specialty beer line.  Due to popular demand, they are bringing back their Czech Pilsner.  This beer wort is brewed in the classic style, using the highest quality European malts.  Saaz hops are used for flavour and aroma.  These hops add floral notes to the rich, complex bouquet and rounded, balanced aftertaste.

IBU: 40;  SG 1.048;  FG 1.010-1.012.  Price per beer wort: $39.99 take home, 74.99 made in-store (bottles extra).

Holiday Entertaining

The holidays are officially upon us and for a lot of us that means entertaining. As much fun as hosting a holiday party is, it can sometimes become overwhelming trying to decide what to serve. There is enough going on during this season, what with the shopping and wrapping, decorating and preparing for a house full of loved ones, that planning your party should be as stress free as possible. Below is a list of delicious holiday appetizers as well as the perfect wine to enjoy them with. After all, ’tis the season to eat, drink and be merry.

1. Baked Brie with Candied Walnuts and Blueberries is fantastic with a Rose.

2. Olive Straws are impressive and are even more so with a Sparkling Wine.
